You could call it the ‘7th Salute’!.

GR8! Magazine marshalled up all its organisational might once again to create a glowing nite that was both scintillating and sublime as well. It was a feast for the eyes because of the dazzling moments of glitz and glamour through its array of eye-popping Ramp-walks from some of the hottest labels of ‘Haute Couture’ – but it didn’t end there!

At the core of the Event was an Ode, a Salute and a Celebration of the glory of Womanhood with particular accent on the ‘Middle East’. It accorded recognition & Honour to the ‘Women Achievers’ of the region who came from different disciplines, specialties and walks of life.

Actually, this Event was no flash-in-the-pan fling, rustled up by some fly-by-night gold-diggers – instead, it was a proud part of an unrelenting crusade unleashed by Anu Ranjan (Prez, The ITA, Editor, GR8! and the initiator of the NGO, ‘Beti’) for more than a decade now. She has been unflinchingly championing various Causes pertaining to ‘Women’ and waging an unyielding war against the perpetrators of crimes on the Female-gender.

And this event has by now well entrenched itself in the Social circles of Dubai, where it has been held since three years short of a decade, now. Yes, it is the 7th Gala that has been organised to put Women Achievers on the ‘GR8! Pedestal’ in these parts.

In the steering of this entire venture to perfection there has been a sheet-anchor who has stood by Anu Ranjan like a rock, all these years along and he is none other than her life-partner, Shashi Ranjan. Together, they have a raised an awesome edifice in the service of Womankind.

And its 7th outing was also organised with exceptional panache at the ritzy, ‘Roda al-Bustan’ in Dubai!
