Finding the funny side of lockdown, series one of BBC1 comedy Staged saw David Tennant and Michael Sheen trying – and largely failing – to rehearse an upcoming play from home via computer, to the frustration of their director, Simon Evans.

Playing fictionalised versions of themselves, the actors were clearly having fun as they bickered and bantered in six short episodes that also featured their real-life partners, Georgia Tennant and Anna Lundberg, as well as some A-list guest stars.
