The single ended up spending seven weeks at number one, and catapulted five unknown girls – Victoria Adams, Mel Brown, Emma Bunton, Mel Chisholm and Geri Halliwell – to global superstardom.
Now, a new C4 documentary uses revealing interviews and archive footage to tell their story, which saw them become the biggest-selling girl band of all time.
