Julia Roberts is caught up in a military mystery in Amazon Prime's Hitchcock-style thriller.
With an Oscar on her mantelpiece and dozens of great movies to her name, from Pretty Woman to Notting Hill, Julia Roberts has her pick of projects. So even though it’s fashionable for film stars to turn up on TV these days, it’s still a coup for Amazon Prime Video to secure her talents for its eerie new thriller.
Roberts, who turns 51 this week, stars in Homecoming, directed by Mr Robot creator Sam Esmail and already commissioned for a second season. She plays Heidi Bergman, a case worker at a government facility that helps soldiers reacclimatise to public life when they return home from military action.
But Heidi grows alarmed when her boss Colin (Bobby Cannavale) seems less concerned with their patients’ well-being than the chance to mine valuable data from their traumatic experiences.
