Abi is reunited with Alfie, and meets a blast from Ken's past in the process...

It's about time the universe stopped peeing on Abi's chips. With Imran six feet under, she finally gets a break this week as she's reunited with baby Alfie.

It all happens very quickly. Just a day after Abi has found out she must reapply for custody, she's heading back to court.

Kevin's right beside her and wants them to be a family, but Debbie urges him to think carefully about what he's signing up for. Kev points out that he's no saint himself, and reminds his sister that Jack is the product of his affair with Molly Dobbs only for the lad to overhear -

As Abi and Kev arrive at the hearing, Abi gets chatting to a woman in the waiting room, and slags off the judicial system. She's horrified when it turns out said woman is the judge! She further despairs when the local-authority solicitor lists her many failings as a mother.
