Charity has a tiresome habit of telling her kids she loves them one minute, and then breaking their hearts the next, and her behaviour this week is another chapter in the Dingle’s cycle of selfdestruction. Not only does she destroy son Noah’s dreams of joining the Army, but she betrays daughter Debbie by sleeping with Al.

Noah was practically abandoned by Charity when she hit the bottle after splitting with Vanessa. Charity knows she has a lot of ground to make up, so offers to join him on a run.
