JOE WICKS: FACING MY CHILDHOOD

MONDAY, 9PM, BBC1 FACTUAL

Joe Wicks became the nation's PE teacher during the first lockdown, with his free weekday workouts, positive attitude and boundless enthusiasm inspiring kids and grown-ups alike.

But as a child growing up with parents who struggled with their mental health, the fitness guru knows that mental well-being is just as important as physical health.

Joe's mother suffered from acute OCD, anxiety and eating disorders, while his father battled heroin addiction and depression. Now, in an one-off documentary for BBC1, Joe Wicks: Facing My Childhood, the dad-of-two will explore the impact his experiences have had on his life and how we can better support families going through similar struggles.

Here, Joe, 36, tells us more...
