Not so long ago, Miranda Hart and her mum Dee Hart Dyke were being touted as potential presenters for The Great British Bake Off when it moved to C4.

That rumour proved wide of the mark, but this week they are collaborating on a new More4 series dedicated to another great British pastime – gardening.

Narrated by Miranda, All Gardens Great and Small follows keen amateur gardener Dee, 77, as she meets fellow enthusiasts who open up their plots to the public as part of the National Garden Scheme, raising money for charity in the process.
