‘HE NEEDS TO BE SENT DOWN'

CORONATION STREET MONDAY, WEDNESDAY & FRIDAY / ITV /

Six months after he brutally murdered Seb Franklin, the chickens are coming home to roost for Corrie teen Corey Brent.

Vital evidence that links him to the crime has been found by Asha and Nina, and the police intend to rearrest him. Can the up-andcoming footballer flee the country, or is there nowhere to hide?

One thing’s for sure – Corey will exit the Street this week. Talented young actor Maximus Evans, who plays the Weatherfield brute, has filmed his final scenes and has started a three-year course at the prestigious Guildhall School of Music & Drama in London – whose alumni include the likes of Ewan McGregor and 007 star Daniel Craig, no less.

TV Times caught up with Maximus, 20, to find out more...

Villains like to be in control. Is Corey now losing his grip?

There’s definitely a panic. Everybody has a plan until you get punched in the face, and Corey has taken a couple of hits. The events that happened in the sinkhole exposed him completely, and there’s the worry of who’s going to get him.

I think we’re in the territory of it’s now or never; if he’s not caught now, then he never will be.

Corey’s dad, Stefan, plots for them to leave the country. How confident are they that they can pull this off?

It’s perfect the way Paul [Opacic, who plays Stefan] plays it. It’s, ‘This is our last hope, and if it doesn’t work, things aren’t going to be in our favour any more.’ He’s throwing everything at it, and Corey is playing along, hoping his dad has done enough.
