Scruffts: Britain’s Favourite Dog

FRIDAY / C4 / 8.00PM

When Emma Williamson went to a rescue centre to get a dog, it was love at first sight after she spotted Staffordshire bull terrier cross Honey.

The six-year-old pooch swiftly became a much-cherished addition to Emma’s family and she has also lent a helping paw to many of the homeless clients with whom Emma, a clinical psychologist, works.

Now, Honey is one of the six finalists hoping to win the Family Crossbreed Dog of the Year award at this year’s Scruffts, the crossbreed competition at Crufts. The winner will be decided by dog-lover and Chatty Man Alan Carr and top dog show judge Frank Kane during C4’s coverage of Crufts this Sunday, 11 March. Alan will also be presenting a special documentary detailing all the nominees’ heart-warming stories.

Here, Emma, 36, tells TV Times what would make Honey, already crowned Best Crossbreed Rescue, a worthy competition winner…
