He’s found slumped in woodland after taking booze and pills. Will he survive?

The acid attack on Ross Barton hasn’t just destroyed his skin, it’s shattered his confidence. 

His brother Pete is very aware of this, so when the mechanic agrees to go to The Woolpack with him this week, he’s delighted that the ‘old’ Ross is on his way back.

But it turns out to be a case of one step forward, 10 steps back. A cruel comment from a punter leaves Ross a broken man, and Pete later finds him semi-conscious after downing pills and booze.
