Striking out!

She may only be 32, but Holliday Grainger has been a familiar face on our screens for over a quarter of a century.

Making her debut, aged five, in BBC1 comedy-drama All Quiet on the Preston Front in 1994, her CV is now an impressive mix of period sagas, modern-day dramas and big-budget Hollywood movies.

The last few years have moved Holliday into leading-lady territory, thanks to her standout performance as DI Rachel Carey in last year’s hit BBC1 conspiracy thriller The Capture and her current, ongoing role as private investigator Robin Ellacott in BBC1’s acclaimed crime drama Strike.

As Strike – Lethal White draws to a close this Sunday, here, Holliday tells TV Times what the future might hold for Robin and her colleague Cormoran Strike (played by Tom Burke) and why she thinks she’d be good at solving real-life crimes...

Robin was assaulted at university and attacked in the last series. In this week’s finale, she comes under threat again as the investigation into the death of Jasper Chiswell (Robert Glenister) concludes. How does she cope?
