‘Villanelle wants to make the rules!'

Brace yourselves, folks! Ruthless (yet strangely likeable!) globetrotting assassin Villanelle is back to bring more murder, mystery and mayhem to our screens as cat-and-mouse thriller Killing Eve returns for its much-anticipated third series this week.

The BAFTA- and Golden Globe-winning smash hit will be available as weekly episodes on BBC iPlayer from Easter Monday (13 April), one day after it launches on BBC America. It will then air on BBC1 from Sunday 19 April.

And it can’t come soon enough for its legion of fans, especially as series two ended with the shock cliffhanger of Villanelle (played to perfection by Jodie Comer) shooting her nemesis-slash-love interest Eve Polastri (Sandra Oh) in the back after the ex MI6 agent rejected Villanelle’s offer to run away with her.

Series three picks up the action six months on from that stand-off in Rome with both women – yes, Eve has survived! – trying to get their lives back on track.

Villanelle is now living in Barcelona and believes Eve is dead. Eve, however, is back in England hoping Villanelle will never find her.

However, a shock death soon causes their worlds to collide again…
