Wedding season during the hot summer of 1959 is in full swing as Grantchester returns. But the path of true love doesn’t always run smoothly as we rejoin Rev Will Davenport and DI Geordie Keating – especially for Geordie, who’s now separated from his wife Cathy.

‘Geordie is lost. He no longer has the safety net of family,’ explains Robson Green n, who plays him. ‘He’s detached from Cathy and the kids and he’s living with Will at the vicarage, feeling like a fish out of water.
