But for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, a quick jaunt up to the Highlands isn’t enough to mend the broken bridges severed between 38-year-old Meghan and the rest of the Windsor clan, with the new mum even refusing to stay on the main castle grounds.

Instead, we have learned the duchess opted for a ramshackle hunting lodge in the middle of an isolated section of the estate some 32km away when she unwillingly visited the 93-year-old monarch’s summer residence late last month.
