Take Matters Into Your Own Hands And Live A Healthy Life

Show of hands: Who actually enjoys visits to the doctor? Let’s be honest, nobody likes going unless it’s to get a bogus medical certificate signed or to indulge in some innocent flirting. Don’t get me wrong, I know we all need doctors at some point of our lives. However, I’ll be lying if I said I jump in joy when I have to head to a hospital. So, here’s a secret that’s a lot more effective than an apple a day to keep the doctor away: You.

Running to our GP for medicine as soon as we fall sick had been instilled in our minds for generations. So much so we’ve forgotten that our body has an inbuilt pharmacy (your immune system) which has the ability to defend our body against diseases. Shobana Cooke, Certified Hatha Yoga Instructor, Yogic lifestyle Counselor, Classical Homeopath, Pranic Healer and Tarot card reader, says, “The first step towards living a healthy life is understanding the mind-body link and respecting the body’s innate ability to heal itself with minimal intervention and maximum support.” If you really think about it, who will understand your body better than yourself? That’s right. No one!
