2017 is shaping up to be pretty action-packed for actress Isabela Moner. From temple trials to otherworldly robots, this girl isn’t scared of anything—and she shares some bold resolutions for the new year.
The ball’s about to drop on 2017. So what’s your plan: Run five miles a day? Slurp green smoothies every morning? Keep brainstorming, babe, to find the resolution that’s the right fit for you. Goals are best when they’re real and reachable—just ask Isabela Moner, the 15-year-old star of Nickelodeon’s new Legends of the Hidden Temple adventure flick and the upcoming blockbuster Transformers: The Last Knight. When it comes to reasonable resolutions, this girl’s got it down—and she’s inspiring us to create our own list of goals that’ll stick like glue from now until next New Year’s.
RESOLUTION #1:
Dare to shake up the classics.
There are things you’ll love forever—like your mom’s mac and cheese, your trusty cardi-and-jeans combo, your neighborhood’s Christmas caroling night. But as Isabela learned, it’s fun to freshen up faves with your own personal touch.
When Isabela joined the cast of Legends of the Hidden Temple, she took on a super special project that came pre-loaded with nostalgia.
Legends started as a game show back in the ’90s on Nickelodeon, but the 2016 version is an awesome adventure flick where three kids get tied up in the war between King Olmec and Prince Zuma and the evil Thak. So Nickelodeon didn’t just reboot the beloved show—they totally rebuilt it. “I thought it was really creative and smart the way they did it,” shares Isabela. “They were able to incorporate everything from the original game, like the green monkeys and silver snakes and orange iguanas, with a new unique twist. The hidden temple from the game is an attraction at the Hidden Temple theme park.”
