Introducing Blouse, the androgynous, affordable, industry insider favourite changing the game.
Thousands of kilometres from his sleepy hometown of Toowoomba, Queensland, among the cool kids and eccentrics of London’s East End, designer Geoffrey J. Finch is working his sartorial Midas touch on his newest venture, shirting label Blouse. Fans of Finch’s tongue-in-chic creations from his tenure at Topshop’s elevated Unique and Boutique labels and the currently shuttered Antipodium will be familiar with his signature capricious and witty hand, which has long drawn admirers the likes of a full roster of It girls: Alexa Chung, Dree Hemingway, Carey Mulligan and Edie Campbell.
Blouse was launched last year via an exclusive with Matchesfashion.com, though it wasn’t long until Selfridges and Hypebeast e-tailer HBX followed suit. With its androgynous designs and bimonthly drops, it’s gently shaking up the modus operandi of designers, buyers and consumers.
