When I think about my childhood, I remember snuggling into my mum’s rabbit fur coat, which always smelled of her perfume, [Lanvin] Arpège. That was my happy place – wrapped up in my mum’s arms.
My mum is a woman of great gentility, but she is also strong, well read, outspoken and fabulous. The most inspiring thing about my mum is her grace – grace under fire, grace under sun. I’m not sure it was her dream to see her daughter swear for a living onstage, but she celebrates the woman I am.
