There is a certain amount of frivolity that comes to being in the fashion industry, but for Heart Evangelista-Escudero, it is more than just simply playing dress-up and looking picture perfect. Much has been written and spoken about Heart EvangelistaEscudero’s enviable wardrobe. A closet that contains within its hallowed walls haute couture pieces, sky-high Louboutins, and Hermès Birkin bags, it’s a sartorial dream come true, and difficult not to focus on when it comes to speaking about Heart. The home of the Escuderos is where our interview takes place, and while we were raring to gawk at her walk-in closet, we forget it as soon as we enter the household. There is no doubt that the house reflects who Heart is to the brim. Hues and textures of white dominate the space—her signature color, so much so that it has its own Instagram hashtag, #lovemariexwhites. Pops of color are lent by decorative pieces such as blue china and pieces of furniture with gold hardware. There is refinement to the décor, and gives a clear picture of what she likes—down to the Hermès throws on the sofa and on one of the chairs—the brand’s insignia perfectly matching H, for Heart, presumably.
