Indiana Pacers guard VICTOR OLADIPO dishes on the workouts that turned him into an All-Star—and a worthy adversary to LeBron.
The most improved player in the NBA last year—by a huge margin—was Victor Oladipo. After a disappointing season in Oklahoma City in 2016–17, Oladipo was traded to the Indiana Pacers, where he put up career highs in 2017–18, including points (23.1 per game) and steals (a league-leading 2.4 per game). He even pushed LeBron James and the Cavs to the brink of elimination in the playoffs. For his efforts, Oladipo collected a slew of accolades, including NBA All-Star, NBA All-Defensive First Team, and (of course) NBA Most Improved Player.
A big reason for Oladipo’s transformation: off-season training. For the past couple of summers, Oladipo has worked with trainer David Alexander at DBC Fitness in Miami, hitting the gym five days a week to get in the best shape of his life. Clearly, it’s working.
