HOW HAVE YOU STAYED SO MOTIVATED AND COMMITTED OVER THE YEARS? WHAT ADVICE CAN YOU GIVE TO OUR READERS?
I agree with the American Poet Maya Angelou, “My mission in life is not merely to survive but to thrive, and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humour and some style”.
Some Passion. My passion in life is helping women to lead a healthy lifestyle. To teach them to follow the correct exercise program for their specific needs and to guide them in following a healthy eating plan. My motivation comes from seeing the results my followers get; from getting testimonials from people whose lives have been changed by my online programs, my book, DVDs, and TV program.
Some Compassion. I have a lot of empathy for women battling to lose weight. I do not judge anybody by their dress size. What fills me with joy is seeing women trying to improve their lifestyle. My programs cater for every fitness level, any age and any weight. You’re never too old, too unfit or too overweight to start.
Some Humour. It concerns me to realise how many women are still leading sedentary lives and who think calories are tiny creatures that live in your closet and sew your clothes a little bit tighter every night. I like to use some humour in my motivational talks. After all we are all human. Everybody loves a cheat meal every now and then. I don’t always have a cheat day, but when I do, I eat as much as I want to.
Some Style. Looking good in my fitness gear is just as important as dressing up in my little black dress for a function. I love beautiful workout clothes and trainers, somehow, I think it makes me train harder…
