I own a very successful online training and nutrition business, called Macros with Em. I’m blessed to work with thousands of men and women transforming their bodies and lives through fitness and nutrition.
WHAT WAS YOUR INITIAL REACTION WHEN YOU WERE CHOSEN TO SHOOT?
Excited! But also humbled. I’ve worked very hard to be in the position I’m in, in terms of my life and my business. So having this opportunity is a dream come true!
HOW DO YOU PREPARE FOR A SHOOT?
For this shoot I did a 12-week cut. I trained 5 to 6 days a week, and focus on getting 10k steps per day. I don’t ever go to any extremes in terms of diet or cardio. I find cardio is hands down the most overused “tool” used when dieting. I personally don’t love cardio, but I enjoy walking so that’s what I do.
WHAT IS YOUR TRAINING REGIMENT LIKE?
I love full-body workouts! But my typical split is 2 lower body days, 2 upper body days, 1 full body day. I usually add a 6th day where I’ll do light cardio or a full-body circuit. Shoulders are by far my favorite to train. I make sure they’re worked at least twice a week, and glutes are worked 2 to 3 times per week.
