Following hook-steps

A family of crafters has given Val Pierce a lifelong passion and many crochet treasures to cherish

Grandmother, Aunties and Mother were incredibly talented in many areas of needlework so crafting is obviously in my blood. My mother made amazing wedding dresses and both my aunties knitted and crocheted clothes and homewares for their families.

It was inevitable that there was every chance I would follow in their footsteps and become a crafter myself. Taught to knit by my dad at age five, knitting became my first passion, but I always wanted to learn to crochet. Sadly, my grandmother had passed away before that time so I had to teach myself.
