  • A dropped-sleeved jumper

TENSION

5 rounds measure 10x10cm (4x4in) of Square pattern using a 4mm hook, or size needed to obtain correct tension

MEASUREMENTS

Pattern can be adapted to measurements of jumper

ABBREVIATIONS

Each square needs to be ¼ the width of your jumper; you can adapt the pattern so they fit

If you have an unloved jumper languishing in the back of your wardrobe, then granny (squares) will make it better. Will you make them with some of your stash, treat yourself to new yarn, or a bit of both?

NOTES

To begin, measure the front of your jumper from the shoulder seam to the hem and across the bust. Cut the front from your jumper up to the shoulder seam and armhole seams. Squares are made to fit across the front of your jumper. Each Square should be ¼ of the width of the front. You can adapt the pattern for the Square by working fewer rounds, or by working additional rounds. Each dc round should add approx 1cm to the measurements and each tr round should add approx 2cm to the measurements.
