TEXTURED STITCHES take centre stage in this beautiful book from Finnish designer Meiju K-P. As the book's title suggests, she has played with contrasting stitch patterns such as cables, lace, bobbles and twisted stitches to create stunning textured fabrics.

The 22 garments and accessories are typically sized to fit busts of 30in-62in, although some projects are sized up to 64-68in. The techniques used are designed to challenge and stimulate keen knitters, offering an entertaining and memorable knitting experience.

The majority of the garments are knitted from the top down, making it easier to adapt the body and sleeve length. 'Blue Moment', for example, is a yoked cardigan with a delicate all-over lace motif, and its slightly cropped shape is easy to modify.
