The redesigned home of Emily and Noah Carter was a true passion project

Emily and Noah Carter believe their Tudor-style home in Tulsa, Oklahoma, is very special – not just because of its elegant 1920s detailing but because it holds a history of a different kind. ‘This was the house that Noah grew up in – it’s an important part of his past,’ says Emily. ‘And mine, too – we had our very first kiss in the sun room.’

The couple bought the house from Noah’s parents in 2016 and it couldn’t have been a more fitting property in which to raise their children, Liv, seven, Rowan, five, Finn, two, and Lael, one. ‘We loved the neighbourhood, and the house itself sat on a beautiful, oversized plot that was a rare find in the area,’ says Emily.
