Garnstudio DROPS Alaska medium (worsted) weight wool yarn (13/4oz/ 77 yds/50g per ball): 3 balls #53 dark pink

Garnstudio DROPS

Eskimo bulky (chunky) weight wool yarn (13/4oz/ 55 yds/50g per ball): 1 ball #18 circus

Sizes 7/4.5mm and N/P-15/10mm crochet hooks or size needed to obtain gauge

Tapestry needle

1 3/4-inch piece of heavy cardboard • Magnetic snap

GAUGE

Size 7 hook: 8 dc plus 1 ch-1 sp = 2 1/2 inches; 4 rows = 1 3/4inches

PATTERN NOTES

Weave in loose ends as work progresses.

Join with slip stitch as indicated unless otherwise stated.

Chain-3 at beginning of round counts as first double crochet unless otherwise stated.

Rnd 1: With size 7 hook and pink, ch 38, dc in 4th ch from hook (beg 3 sk chs count as first dc), dc in each of next 2 chs, *[ch 1, sk next ch, dc in each of next 8 chs] 3 times, ch 1, sk next ch, dc in each of last 4 chs*, working on opposite side of foundation ch, dc in each of first 4 chs, rep between * once, join (see Pattern Notes) in top of beg ch-3. (64 dc, 8 ch-1 sps)

Rnd 2: Ch 3 (see Pattern Notes), dc in each of next 3 dc, dc in next ch-1 sp, [ch 1, sk next dc, dc in each of next 7 dc, dc in next ch-1 sp] 7 times, ch 1, sk next dc, dc in each of last 3 dc, join in top of beg ch-3.
