With a history that dates far back to 1683, the brand has quite a story to tell. What has today blossomed into a globally renowned behemoth for home appliances, first started as an ironworks company by Margrave Ludwig Wilhelm von Baden in the town of Gaggenau in Germany. It then became Eisenwerke Gaggenau AG with products like agricultural machinery and metal consumer goods. By the end of the 19th century, the company manufactured bicycles, enamel advertising signs and stoves. This knowledge was used in the production of the robust oven enamel, a formula that laid a strong foundation for the success of their kitchen appliances.
