The design – a layered concept that rhythmically oscillates between indoor and outdoor spaces – is inspired by the client’s love for the outdoors. The home gets its name from the large, almost domineering cantilevered element at the entrance. The structure, which is actually the son’s bedroom, adds a remarkable visual appeal to the space. The entire home presents an intermingling of indoor and outdoor spaces.
Metaphorically, the house is an oxymoron. It is serene and cool, with minimalistic decor, and adventurous at the same time.
