This 1,322sqft apartment, designed by Noorein Kapoor of Noorein Kapoor Design Studio, catches the eye for all the right reasons. Bold and distinctive in its visual appeal, the home showcases playful elements and radiates a vibrant aura. It belongs to a family of four – a couple and their two children - and is located in a high-rise building of South Mumbai. The clients were open to experimentation and believed in Noorein’s vision for the space.

The articulation of the interiors reflects a rather artistic approach, and this aspect comes through in the choice of surface treatments, artworks and the kind of furniture pieces curated within the apartment. The spaces are well laid out and thoughtfully planned. “It’s all about maximising every corner,” says Noorein. “We created a dining area out of a small powder and storeroom space and in the son’s bedroom we pushed the bed towards the window and created a corner step bed to create more space as soon as one enters the room.”
