“We love dark colours and it suited the house design perfectly.” – the homeowner
Designed for easy entertaining, this Joburg home is an escape for its family and their loved ones.
Situated in a premium eco-estate on the outskirts of the city, the home is in contrast to its environment, taking on a contemporary aesthetic that celebrates clean architectural lines, open-plan layouts and moody dark hues.
“The wine cellar is the space we spent a lot of time creating and making sure it is perfect.” – the homeowner
Elaborating on the vision for this new build, the owner shares: “We wanted a modern home with an open, spacious feel. As a result, the property has many sliding doors that open onto ponds, the pool and garden areas.
Part of the brief to our architect was to design a restaurant-feel entertainment area with a bar, braai, pizza oven, its own oven and hob, casual seating and a large outdoor dining table to accommodate our guests comfortably.”
