Having worked in interiors and been exposed to the latest in decor and design, Bernadette Sampson jumped at the chance to incorporate some of these innovations in the holiday home she and her husband, Cliff, recently completed on the KZN North Coast.
“If you’re building a home from scratch, it makes sense to have the latest, especially in terms of finishes and technology,such as a hydroptap, which provides chilled and boiling water immediately,” she says. Bernadette and Cliff chose to depart from the colonial style of their Johannesburg home (featured in Garden and Home, September 2011) and went for a more modern architectural style and contemporary interiors.
