Thoughtful design details and an enriching energy flow make for a harmonious living environment

The sprawling penthouse at Seletar Park Residence that belongs to a family of four was gorgeous to begin with, but its owners felt that its vibe was off-kilter and personally preferred a layout that was in sync with the principles of feng shui. What’s more, with two young teenagers in tow, they felt their personal space should be better suited to ease their every day.

As the decision for a face lift was unanimous, they brought in the experts. Derrick Lim, the interior designer who led the project explains that a proper placement of furniture and other elements in the space is necessary to encourage good energy flow from the feng shui point of view. But this has to go hand in hand with design to ensure a seamless overall effect, elaborates the principal director of D’Marvel Scale.
