Scott Sinclair is feeling re-energised following a timely break in Celtic’s schedule and he is raring to go on all three fronts again over the coming games

Refreshed, Recharged And Ready

SCOTT Sinclair would have loved to have been away with England during the recent international round of fixtures and played a part in their successful qualification to the World Cup finals in Russia.

Yet again, however, despite the winger’s sensational form for Celtic, a call-up to Gareth Southgate’s squad was not forthcoming. England’s loss is certainly Celtic’s gain.

As most of the Hoops first-team jetted across the world to represent their respective countries, the 28-year-old remained behind at Lennoxtown with a handful of his colleagues before being given some extended time off to recharge his batteries.

For Sinclair, it was a timely break, given his exertions in September when he played seven times in just 22 days as the Bhoys battled on three fronts – the Scottish Premiership, the League Cup and the UEFA Champions League.

And he told the View that he will return to action this week reinvigorated and hungry to fire Celtic to more success during this next tranche of fixtures.

“There are so many games coming up thick and fast so it’s good to get your rest time in when you can and then when you come back you are ready to go again every Saturday and Wednesday for the next month,” said the Englishman in an exclusive interview.

“Obviously I would have loved to have been away with England and hopefully that call comes very soon, but at the moment I am enjoying my time off and when I get this down-time and my few days away I enjoy it.

“The upside of not going away on international duty is having time to relax and get my energy back and coming back in ready to go in again. I always take these times off and I think it works. It allows you to recharge a bit of both – mentally and physically – and it’s nice to spend time with your family.
