Ignoring things that matter to you is easier than ever these days, and this is mostly thanks to social media. In a survey done by the Australian Psychology Society (APS), more than three in four young people (78.8%) are highly involved with their mobile phones. Young people are on social media for an average of 3.3 hours or more each day.
According to a Sri Lankan study*, nearly 30% of respondents spend more than 1 hour on social media. But, there’s certainly more to life than the virtual realm like real life interactions. Here are a few more things that should occupy your time.
How You Carry Yourself
Have you ever met someone who looks well-dressed and charismatic in their Instagram pictures, but they’re very shy and sloppy in real life? We have. What’s scary is that you could be that person to someone else. If you’re not well-groomed and exude confidence, you won’t be making much of an impression. Don’t appear like the others or fit into mediocre standards. Instead, dress for yourself, walk the talk and keep it classy.
