Audacious and delightfully witty, Neha Dhupia spills the beans on her unconventional career moves, and how a good sense of humour takes you a long way.
Bonafide tough girl and actress Neha Dhupia isn’t one to shy away from the lens. It’s been a while since she initiated her illustrious journey, yet today she displays an endearing sense of vulnerability in front of the camera at our cover shoot. An infectious aura of softness and innocence emanates from the otherwise resilient shell of her persona, as if it’s her first time. Dhupia is anything but a conventional actor. Not only has she made interesting career choices but has also been unflinchingly vocal about her opinions, of which she has many. Dhupia has given us memorable reel moments through her films – Ek Chalis ki Last Local and Mithiya and a recent cameo in Irfan Khan starrer Hindi Medium. She’s now sifting through mediums beyond cinema with her highly-anticipated and mutually enjoyed podcast series #Nofilterneha where she calls aboard the industry’s finest to indulge in a session of candid revelations. She also stars as a ‘gang leader’ in the controversial MTV Roadies show (a role that seems to be moulded for her) and plays a judge on Chote Miyan (a stand-up comedy show featuring acts by children). And then there’s Tumhari Sulu that she’s just started shooting for alongside Vidya Balan.
