As owner of The Bridal Path in Jackson, Audrey Jarvis was accustomed to having a front-row seat as brides-to-be eagerly selected the perfect gowns for their big days. But when it came to finding her own wedding dress, Audrey opted to take a laid-back approach to the process.
“Everyone thought I already knew exactly what I would want, but when you’re surrounded by beautiful dresses, it’s hard to pick just one favorite,” she explains. “I didn’t stress, for I knew it would work out for me just like it does for all of my brides. I knew that the perfect dress was going to fall into place just like everything else had.”
Indeed, it had been a whirlwind year leading up to Audrey’s engagement to her longtime boyfriend Gage McCarty. She became the owner of the bridal salon in May 2018, just a few days before graduating from Mississippi State University with a degree in fashion design and merchandising. After Gage proposed during a family vacation to Telluride, Colorado, in December of that year, the couple began planning their perfect wedding day—one that would represent the two of them and their close relationship. “I wanted to walk into our wedding day and just feel like it had me and Gage written all over it,” Audrey says. “I wanted every single guest to see and feel the love and absolute joy Gage and I felt.”
