A stylish landmark, the hotel is renowned for its one-of-a-kind architecture with chic and minimalistic interior design. From the moment we pulled up to the reception, we knew it was going to be a very special 3 days!
Location
Close to the region’s winding coast road, Daios Cove resort sits in a natural amphitheater that descends in stages to a private sandy beach. Bus services are sparse, so you’ll need a car to visit the bustling town of nearby Agios Nikolaos, the Minoan site of Knossos, and Spinalonga. We rented a car to stay and it was a really good decision. It is too hot to be waiting around outside for public transport. Rocks were actually dynamited to make way for Daios Cove and were subsequently used to build the resort’s stone-clad rooms and bungalows, completed in 2010. A pretty impressive feat!
