Emily Blunt 'All I Care About Is That My Kids Are Happy'

A challenging year has made her realise what really matters

Staying at home with your in-laws in the midst of a pandemic doesn’t exactly shout Christmas, but for Emily Blunt, hunkering down with her actor husband, John Krasinski, their two daughters, Hazel, 6, and Violet, 4, and John’s parents has been a dream.

“They [were] so terribly excited and that makes it really special and very doable to be locked down,” Emily says of her young children. “All I really care about is that they have a good time.”

Work-wise, she’s given the action-packed roles a break and gone back to her romantic drama roots with her latest project, Wild Mountain Thyme – an “otherwordly” love story of two farming neighbours set against the lush greenery of Ireland.
