The couple can’t wait to welcome another baby into the world.

Just days after their eldest son and the future king, Prince George, celebrated his 6th birthday, it can now be revealed that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are set to make an exiting announcement – they’re expecting their fourth child. And it’s a girl!

There has been growing speculation in royal circles that the duchess has been trying for a fourth child, but now there’s talk she could already be expecting. And all signs suggest that an official announcement from Kensington Palace is imminent. Adding even further joy, Charlotte has been asking for a sister to play with, and that wish could be about to come true.

“I always thought Kate wanted to have three children because she comes from a family of three siblings, but now I’m convinced she’s delighted to have four,” royal expert and author of Royally Suited: Harry and Meghan in Their Own Words Phil Dampier tells New Idea. “You can see what a wonderful mother she is and she would also love little Louis to have a sister of a similar age, just as George has Charlotte.”
