If you were to ask us what’s the best smartphone one could buy without breaking the bank, OnePlus 3 would be our obvious choice. For us, it checked all the boxes and competed very well against heavyweights like Samsung’s Galaxy S7 edge, LG G5 and even the Apple iPhone 7 at roughly half the price.

Now, OnePlus has come up with an update to its original OnePlus 3. Dubbed the OnePlus 3T, the phone is more of an incremental update with a faster processor, an improved camera and battery life, and of course, a great price. But does it justify the extra spend? Let’s find out.

IS THAT REALLY THE ONEPLUS 3...T? 

That’s the question you’d ask if you have seen or played with the OnePlus 3 previously. It’s very difficult to distinguish between the OnePlus 3 and the OnePlus 3T from the front, but it’s the colour at the back that separates it from its older sibling. The OnePlus 3T now comes in Gunmetal colour, which is a bit darker compared to OnePlus 3’s graphite hue and Soft Gold.
