CAMP PREVIEW: TIGHT ENDS

Mike Gesicki — The 2018 second-round pick really came on in the final weeks of the 2019 season, catching five touchdown passes in the last six games after not getting into the end zone in his first 26 NFL games.

Chris Myarick — Myarick is back for a second season after spending all of 2019 on the Dolphins practice squad.

Michael Roberts — The former Detroit Lions player joined the Dolphins this offseason after missing all of 2019 following a failed physical (shoulder) with the Green Bay Packers.

Durham Smythe — Picked two rounds after Gesicki in 2018, Smythe has been a solid blocker for the Dolphins since arriving in Miami but he has yet to make an impact in the passing game.

Bryce Sterk — Sterk will be making the transition to tight end after playing defensive end first at the University of Washington and then at Montana State.

2020 TRANSACTIONS

Feb. 19 — Roberts signed as a free agent

March 18 — Clive Walford became an unrestricted free agent

April 29 — Sterk signed as an undrafted rookie free agent

KEY 2019 STATS

Gesicki: 51 catches, 570 yards, 11.2 average, 5 touchdowns

Smythe: 7 catches, 65 yards, 9.3 average

Walford: 4 catches, 57 yards, 14.3 average

2019 RECAP

As the Dolphins showed dramatic improvement in the second half of the season, it definitely showed in the production of the tight ends, specifically Mike Gesicki.
