Watch out BMW 5 Series and the Jaguar XF! The 2021 Mercedes E Class takes the nice things from the S-Class family and packs them in a more affordable package. The 'E' in this luxury sedan should stand for 'Everyone'

THE MERCEDES E-Class is a luxury sedan for everyone. While the ‘E’ stands for Einspritzmotor (fuel injection engine), it just reminds me of ‘everyone’. The car is finely balanced between the exquisiteness of the S-Class and the lower rung variants below it. It stares the BMW 5 Series and the Jaguar XF in the eye without flinching. Such is its panache. It takes the nice things from the S-Class family and packs them into a more affordable package. It saw its first major overhaul in style and design in 2017 and hasn’t turned back since.

The 2021 E-Class is consistent with its predecessor's not-so-mild-mannered enhancements that have steadily infused incredible technology and cabin improvements. In terms of design, there’s a lot for both, the driver and on-looker, to take in.

On the outside, the headlights and the taillights have been revamped. The former is a lot sleeker, features a single LED DRL strip with two prominent chrome spots, while the latter has gone slimmer and is seemingly more horizontal. The diamond grille reminds us of its A-Class sibling and the ‘power domes’ on the bonnet are the most prominent among the lines and bumps that break the monotony of the exterior design, adding necessary flair.
