In case you are wondering how someone who is blocked can message, obviously it is from a different number. There was a time when ghosting, breadcrumbing or benching were considered ugly ways to pull out of a conversation or relationship. But, now whether you know the meanings of these terms or not, you might be more than familiar with the concept of letting things fizzle out. Modern dating does not have its breakups or polite goodbyes, it’s all about the slow fade. And it has become a norm to NOT tell a match or a person you dated once that you are NOT interested.
That is no longer considered surprising or uncool. But, what is definitely not cool is trying to resurrect a relationship or match! While there may be many types of resurrectionists, there are some that are common. Four women in the 40-plus category shared their experiences with the previously ghosted, deleted, blocked or unmatched who had the gall to try to re-enter their lives.
And these experiences are different from the garden variety attempts of those who fail to understand “No.” Those guys who try and try again after a while or on a different platform are annoying beyond belief! However, the tales these women share are creepy at best and borderline dangerous at worst!
