Only post denies famous victory.
THE width of the post denied Fleetwood a famous FA Cup upset at home to Premier League Leicester, but Uwe Rosler refused to be downbeat on a famous day for the club.
Ashley Hunter’s stoppage-time shot deflected onto the post after Fleetwood had kept Leicester, who made eight changes to their starting line-up, at bay.
And Rosler hopes the experience, and the opportunity of a replay at Leicester’s King Power Stadium, will only help his players to improve.
“I’m definitely not disappointed,” he said. “We played to our maximum. We played front foot football, we pressed really impressively and didn’t let them settle.
“My players showed a high grade of maturity, especially when the pitch cut up in the second half and we had to play slightly differently.
