Allinson Wades in to shock Hendon switch

NEW Hendon boss Lee Allinson says he’s joined a club he’s always admired – and thanked the man he’s replaced for a heartfelt good luck message.

Allinson leaves Biggleswade Town sixth in the BetVictor Southern Premier Central Division for a Greens side struggling at the foot of the Southern Premier South.

It’s led to the mutual consent departure of former St Albans City and Barton Rovers manager James Gray after just under 18 months at the helm.

But despite, on the face of it, swapping a promotion push for a relegation battle, the up and coming Allinson felt he had done all he could at Biggleswade.

Last season – his first season as a manager after being assistant to dad Ian at St Albans – they finished just outside the play-offs.
