BRUNO Andrade saw his penalty saved by Scott Loach as Boreham Wood were left to rue missed chances, thus ensuring Hartlepool extended their unbeaten run to seven games.
Wood had victory in their sights just two minutes into the second half when Blair Turgott was brought down in the area but Andrade’s effort was kept out by the former England Under-21 international.
This was a case of two in-form sides cancelling each other out, although both had their chances to steal it.
Hartlepool came closest when substitute Jake Cassidy spun his marker on the left and delivered a low ball into the box, but Devante Rodney couldn’t get a touch to it.
Andrade went close for the hosts late on after he had battled for the ball with Kenton Richardson on the by-line, but the in-form forward couldn’t find the net from a tight angle.
