£1BN DRONES CRASH IF IT'S A BIT WINDY

THE Army's new £1billion spy drones can't fly when it's too windy.

They also have problems with their altitude sensors, which have triggered a spate of crashes.

Six have been damaged at a cost of £30million. Drones expert Chris Cole said: “The Army's Watchkeeper programme has been a disaster from start to finish."

He added that "the whole thing has been quietly swept under the carpet, meaning, no doubt, similar mistakes will be made again".
