Hackers Kill Off Passwords

COMPUTER passwords are being killed off as they are difficult to remember and too easy for hackers to guess.

Microsoft is this month replacing typed log-ins with fingerprint, facial identification and authenticator apps in the battle against almost 600 hacking attacks a second around the world.

Its security vice-president Vasu Jakkal said: “Passwords are incredibly inconvenient to create, remember and manage across all the accounts in our lives.
